Went to orthopedic doctor yesterday to get a post-op check up. They x-rayed my wrist again and said it was healing good. I will have the pins removed in 4 weeks and another temp cast put on for an additional week or so. While they had my cast off yesterday, I got some pics of my wrist with the 3 pins sticking out (below). The new cast I got is below the elbow, so now I have a bit more freedom, though it hurts when I move it too much. I didn't get the hard plaster cast because my hand and wrist was still too swollen. The cast I have is called a STC (sugar tong cast).

Looks pretty gross - antiseptic still on hand (right side)
