“ALL mentalization reflects limitation. The mind is really unable, by its design, to discern truth from falsehood. Whatever you think is already a limitation; it’s what you are that transcends the limitation.” ---Dr. David R. Hawkins

I'm actually not a pig, but I will admit to being too self-centered alot in the past. I am working to correct it though.

My Birthday

posted Tuesday, 13 May 2008

Yesterday was my birthday and Sunday, Mother's Day. I had an awesome weekend with the kids and hubby showering me with love and gifts. Mom took me shopping Saturday and hubby took me out Saturday night. I spent Sunday morning having breakfast with my mom and sister. I feel so lucky to have a close, loving family.

Yesterday - May 12th - my dad called me and sang Happy Birthday. It was really sweet. I love that he's feeling so much better and back to the old Dad we all knew and loved. We even had a long discussion about History & Politics (his favorite two subjects). He gave my daughter a lecture on subjects that he wanted her to take in High School next year - to prepare for college. I love that he's involved in what she does. She also loves History (in Honor's History this year) and she and Dad can talk for hours. (Right, dear daughter?)

Hubby is working from home now. His company decided that for the summer, while gas prices were enormously high, they would let everyone work from home. I'm not sure how this will go. His bosses are control freaks and will hate that they can't monitor everyone's every move. I also worry that they will go under and leave hubby without a job. The company has to have hubby hold payroll checks for days, sometimes, so they can get money in the bank. I pray that they remain in business and begin to do much better (or that hubby gets a better job offer!)

Meh...trying to create a stupid graphic idea from a coworker. I'm not that good with layer masks in PhotoShop and creating a graphic from scratch. Wish me luck....
