“ALL mentalization reflects limitation. The mind is really unable, by its design, to discern truth from falsehood. Whatever you think is already a limitation; it’s what you are that transcends the limitation.” ---Dr. David R. Hawkins

I'm actually not a pig, but I will admit to being too self-centered alot in the past. I am working to correct it though.

A better February?

posted Monday, 28 January 2008

I'm looking forward to 2/1/08. I'm hoping February is going to be a much happier month. So much has happened so far this year, it's enough to last for the next 11 months!

Friday, 1/25/08, my father-in-law passed away. During the time that my dad was in the hospital, my husband's dad was also admitted and underwent triple by-pass surgery. He recovered and was released from the hospital, but a few days later, had a stroke and died at home. It was quite a shock to everyone, considering he did so well with the surgery.

Here's his obituary:  http://obits.al.com/birmingham/DeathNotices.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=102144726

My dad is home and doing well. He's regaining his strength and walking with only a cane. He still has problems getting up and down, but it is expected after so many days in a hospital bed. He's given up smoking and drinking and now claims that he doesn't even miss it. I'm so proud of him!!

My wrist is getting less painful by the day. I'm able to do a lot more with it, but still unable to grasp things. I will be glad when I can button my own pants and shirts again!
